The 42nd Infantry Division ceremonial band has long served as a symbol of military pride, discipline, and tradition within one of the most historic divisions in the United States Army. The ceremonial band supports military ceremonies, community events, parades, and official commemorations throughout New York and beyond.

The band plays an important role in strengthening the connection between the military and the public. Through patriotic music, our musicians honor veterans, inspire service members, and preserve the heritage of the division. Their appearances at memorial services, change-of-command ceremonies, and civic celebrations reflect the professionalism and dedication expected of Army National Guard personnel.

The 42nd Infantry Division ceremonial band marches every year at the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The band also had the honor of performing in our nation’s capital for the Army 250th Birthday Parade, being the only National Guard Band in the country to partake in the event.
